EMDR and Trauma Focused Therapy

After a traumatic event, many people experience changes in the way they see themselves and the world. This is often accompanied by feeling “low” or “flat” and/or losing interest in the things that usually bring joy. We have found that trauma impacts on people’s lives in significant ways.
At the clinic our work in trauma integrates developmental, neurobiological, psychodynamic and interpersonal aspects of trauma and its treatment.
We focus on the body and mind connection to facilitate healing of the trauma injured brain.
Our treatment includes EMDR with advanced neurotechnological support and other Trauma Focused Therapies.

Telehealth services are facilitated in our practice by the CSIRO developed COVUI platform. This platform facilitates services to remote and rural areas of Australia and prioritises COVID 19 safe practice. All Telehealth services are Medicare supported.
Gender Identity & Transition

Our clinic is LGBTIQ+ affirmative. We provide a safe and affirming space in which individuals can explore all aspects of their gender and sexuality without fear of judgement.
We have a special interest in working with gender identity and transition. We operate in accordance with the World Professional Association of Transgender Health (WPATH) guidelines with respect to gender affirming transitions.
